Dufferin County, ON (OPP - Dufferin Detachment) Dufferin OPP would like to ask the public to be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
Marihuana harvesting season is approaching and the OPP would like the assistance of the public in reporting suspicious activity. Usually outdoor marihuana is kept outdoors as long as possible to maximize the yield. The harvesting usually begins after the first frost of the year as most plants will not typically survive a second frost.

Citizen Self Reporting Comes to the Ontario Provincial Police

OPP Investigate 2nd Break In at Golf Club
Primrose, ON (OPP - Dufferin Detachment) On Tuesday June 24,2014 Nottawasaga OPP attended to a second break and enter at Silver Brooke Golf Club on Cindy Lane in Adjala-Tosorontio Township.
Investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) broke a rear door window and gained entry through the door and entered the golf club and stole various bottles of alcohol and wine from the bar area. It is believed by officers as well, that the suspect exited through the same door that they had gained entry.

(Dufferin County) The week of
November 3-9, 2013 has been designated Crime Prevention week in
Ontario. The Ontario Provincial Police is proud to highlight those
current Crime Prevention initiatives that have been successfully
implemented by our detachments across the province. These programs
have been successful due to the ongoing support and participation of
our various community stakeholders. Our focus this year are those
initiatives where the police engage community partners to reduce
crime and promote community safety.

Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka is looking for the support of the communities we serve as we approach the date for our 15th Annual Fundraising Gala and Auction, which is being held at beautiful Casino Rama on Saturday November 2, 2013.
Crime Stoppers is an independent, non-profit charitable organization that works with the Police, Media and Community to solve crime through the collection of anonymous tips from the public. These tips have helped local Police to arrest 3,842 people, clear 6,075 cases and seize over $56 million in illicit drugs during the rich 26-year history of our program.
