Make Safety Part Of Your Weekend Plans

Oakville, ON (MADD Canada) As more Canadians get out and about with the easing of pandemic-related restrictions, and with the weekend coming up – a holiday long weekend in many parts of the country – MADD Canada is asking everyone to keep one another safe by never operating any vehicle impaired.

“We’re asking everyone to do their part to prevent impaired driving. If your plans include alcohol, cannabis or other drugs, please leave the driving to someone sober,” said MADD Canada National President Jaymie-Lyne Hancock. “We can celebrate summer and the start of things returning to normal while also keeping our roads, trails and waterways safe.”

The tragic deaths and injuries caused by impaired driving can all be prevented by:

  • Never driving a car, boat, ATV or any other vehicle while impaired;
  • Never getting into a vehicle being operated by someone who’s impaired;
  • Calling 911 if you see a driver you suspect is impaired.

Make a smart choice for a sober and reliable drive home with just the push of a button – check out Uber, the Official Designated Ride of MADD Canada. Visit https://www.uber.com/ca/en/ for more information.
