Stunt Driver Charges on Hwy 10 in Mono

Mono, ON (OPP- Dufferin Detachment) On September 30, 2014, an officer from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting speed enforcement in the Town of Mono.  The officer observed a 2006 Pontiac sedan  travelling southbound on King's Highway 10 near 25th side road  at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 147 km/hr. in a 80 km/hr. zone.


As a result of the traffic stop,  29 year old male of Orangeville,Ontario  was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle.

The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge.

The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
