OPP Investigate Break In and Theft of Ring

(MELANCTHON, ON.) – On Thursday August 16th 2012 at 9:49 p.m. a Melancthon resident attended Dufferin Detachment to report a residential break and enter in Melancthon Township. The break occurred while victim was away at work.

Dufferin OPP officers attended the residence and found that residence was broken into by forcing open the south door. The residence was processed by a Scenes of Crimes Officer for latent print examination.

Stolen from residence was an Opal ring. A photo of this ring is attached. The ring is valued at over $2000.
