OPP Arrest Driver for Drug Offence in Mulmur

(Mulmur, ON ) On Friday the 6th of July 2012 at 11:30 pm, Dufferin OPP members were conducting a RIDE program at the intersection of Dufferin County Road #18 and the 10th Side road in the Township of Mulmur, Dufferin County.

At 12:00 am July 7, 2012 an Acura automobile entered the RIDE Program. Police stopped the vehicle to determine if the driver had consumed any alcohol.


Police detected a stale odour of marihuana within the vehicle and observed what appeared to be marihuana in the vehicle.

Further investigation and search of vehicle resulted in a male being arrested for illegal drug possession.

The 21 year old male driver ,Robert WASLENKO of New Tecumseh, is charged with Possession of Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. He was released on an Appearance Notice and will appear in Orangeville Court on August 3, 2012 to answer to the charge.
