Mono, ON (OPP - Dufferin Detachment) On June 15, 2014 at 5:50 pm, an officer from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting speed enforcement in the Town of Mono. The officer observed a 2014 Mitsubishi sedan travelling northbound on Highway 10 north at Campbell Road in Town of Mono at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 135 km/hr. in a 80 km/hr. zone.
As a result of the traffic stop,22 year old male of Mississauga,Ontario was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge. His drivers license was also seized for 7 days.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
