Dufferin OPP Investigate Daylight Break ins in Mono

(Dufferin County) On September 6, 2013 Dufferin OPP attended the scene of a daytime break and enter on Madill Drive in Town of Mono. Investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) entered a residence through an open garage door and then into the home all while the home owner was working in the backyard. Once inside thieves stole Jewellery and Cash.

On September 19, 2013, Dufferin OPP responded to a second Break and Enter on Cedar Grove Lane in Town of Mono Town with the exact same method of entry and same type of items taken.

These types of crime are not new, and are very often preventable through community engagement; empowering communities to play an active role in crime reduction initiatives.

Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
