OPP Catch Two Vehicles Racing in East Garafraxa

(East Garafraxa, ON) On Tuesday June 11 at 6:50 pm Dufferin OPP were conducting radar enforcement on Dufferin County Rd #24 northbound just south of County Rd #3 in East Garafraxa Township.

Police clocked two vehicles in radar travelling together with the first travelling at 151 km in an 80 km per hour zone and second vehicle 152 kms in an 80 km per hour zone

A 23 year old male driver from Amaranth Township and the second is 33 year old male from Grand Valley were both charged with stunt driving. Their drivers licenses are suspended for 7 days and both vehicles are impounded for 7 days.

Both drivers will appear in Orangeville court at a later date.

Police remind motorists that an essential part of the enforcement job is to save lives and reduce injuries on our roadways. Educating the public about safe driving practices is a priority.
