OPP Charge Truck Driver with Stunt Driving

(Dufferin County, ON)  On Thursday November 8th, 2012 at 5:55am, Dufferin OPP clocked in radar tractor trailer carrying a full load of salt traveling 136km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone on Dufferin County Road 18(Airport road), south of 30th side road, in the Town of Mono. The vehicle was immediately pulled over by patrolling officers. Road conditions were slick.


The driver Charles JANTZI of Lucknow, Ontario was charged with Excess Speed(Stunting) and Commercial Motor vehicle not equipped with working speed limiting system contrary to Ontario Highway traffic act .

He is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice Orangeville at later date.

  1. I think he was driving with drink,such type of driver should be punished by cancelling the license.

    1. Why would you say that.Had he been drinking the Opp would have charged him.I personal think that the driver was stupid to be travelling at that rate of speed.My friend had a heart attack,drove into the ditch but rumours were fuelled into the community that he had been drinking DFB.
